Welcome to our home in Killarney.
We're beyond excited to have you!
Our home is very special to us. We built our home after we returned to Ireland having spent 20 years in Los Angeles.
It's the ideal location to discover Killarney from. We’re just 2km from town and we’re across the road from the entrance to the National Park.
Parking
In front of the house. The Gates won’t close. This is by design as the space can be tight for first time drivers here and we don’t want the gates to hit your car.
Electric Cars
Feel free to charge your electric car by using the charger. Please only charge your car between 11pm and 7am.
Check-in/out
Check in is from 4:00 pm and check-out is until 11:00 am. We’d really appreciate it if you could stick to these times.
If you’d like to request a late check-out, please contact us through However, please be informed that we may not be able to grant your request if we have a same-day check-in/out.
Guests
Maximum 8 guests. 6 guests in the main house and 2 guests in the guest house.
Home Rules
Please remove your shoes and keep them by the front door. We’d really appreciate it if no outdoor shoes are worn inside.
No parties or events allowed.
No smoking allowed.
No pets allowed.
Our home is not Suitable for toddlers and children under 12.
No unregistered guests allowed.
Please don’t eat or drink in the bedrooms.
Please respect the noise curfew.
Please don’t change the temperature dials on the walls.
Please respect check-in and check-out times.
Please take extra care of your keys. Lost keys incur a replacement fee.
Please take care of the furnishings. We will ask that you pay for damages that result of misuse.
Please don’t rearrange the furniture.
Please do your dishes.
Please take the rubbish/trash out before you leave. You’ll find the trash bins by the front side of the garage.
No illegal substances allowed on the premises.
Heating & Air conditioning:
Irish houses don’t have air conditioning as it’s rarely needed. We do provide fans on the off chance you’ll need them.
Heating. We have the house temperature set. No need to adjust.
Laundry
The washer and dryer are in the laundry room upstairs. You’ll find the user manual in the bottom drawer.
Coffee machine
The coffee machine is easier to use than it looks:
Make sure there is water and coffee beans
Make sure the pull out tray is not full of grounded coffee (you’ll see an error if it is).
Turn the machine on. It’ll flow water for a second to clean itself out.
Select the brew you want.
The machine turns itself off after five minutes of non-use.
KITCHEN:
Dishwasher
Please make sure the dishwasher is full before turning it on. You’ll find the dishwasher tablets in a basket under the kitchen sink. Put the tablet on the cutlery area where there’s a holding place.
To turn dishwasher on click the “play” button on the very right side of the four buttons.
Windows
Most windows don’t open as our home as a heat exchange unit that constantly runs. You’ll see the vents in each room. This brings in filtered fresh air from outside and removes the air in the house.
TV
To turn TV on use the Samsung remote controls.
Make sure it’s on HDMI 2
Now use FireTV remote
Click to “Apollo Smarters” App
Select if you want Live TV, Movies or Series.

Movie Room
Turn on the projector by using the “Sony” remote. Just click the green button to turn on. When finished click the same button to turn off. This remote is only for turning on/off the projector. When turned on give it a minute to light up the screen before going to step two. You’ll know it is ready when you see “HDMI 2” on top left of screen “.
Use the “Yamaha” remote and click red button on top right. This turns the sound system on. Face remote towards the cabinet with open door. This remote controls the sound levels. Only use it to turn on/off and the volume.
The small FireTV remote. Use this to take you to the Apollo Smarters App. When it’s highlighted click the center button to get into the App. Once in choose Live TV, Movies or Series. The back button is your friend. Use it to navigate to Home Screen.

DEPARTURE:
In the event that something is broken, lost, or malfunctions, please let me know immediately so that I can replace it before the next guest arrives. I understand that accidents happen, and will work with you to assess any damages if necessary.
